This workshop will offer an overview of Rhino 3D software’s application in the Art Department, and offer tips and tools for its effective use. The course will cover topics such as 2D Draughting in Rhino, Basic Modelling in 3D, Importing and Exporting Files and Setting up a Drawing.
The workshop will be taught on PCs; if a number of attendees work on Macs and wish to bring their own laptops, this can be facilitated on the day.

Mary Pike has over 13 years’ experience working in design and manufacture for film. She began working at Weta Workshop in New Zealand in 2007 and eventually ran the Modelmaking and 3d Modelling Departments as well as being the Assistant Workshop Supervisor. She was involved in projects such as Avatar, Mad Max: Fury Road, The Hobbit Trilogy, Elysium and The Amazing Spiderman 2. She now specializes in 3d Modelling and Manufacture for Art Department, spending much of the last few years in this role on projects such as Alice through the Looking Glass, Star Wars Episode VIII and Dumbo. She is currently working in Ireland where she and her husband run their own design and manufacture company, The Workhouse.
This workshop is aimed at Art Department personnel who are new to Rhino and/or Digital Draughting. This course will be aimed at Production Designers, Art Directors, Assistant Art Directors, Draughts people and Trainees
