Joe McDermottroe, Manager, Creator Experience and Development, YouTube will discuss how YouTube stars arise? How well known personalities like FRED and Charliessocoollike go from grainy webcam videos to HD? Joe McDermottroe will discuss what it takes to produce great online content and how to turn your web-video idea into a money making venture.

Mike Bell, Executive Producer, Simon’s Cat (link) will deliver a case study.
Mike will discuss the origins of the Simon’s Cat enterprise, from a viral clip to a sophisticated business model. Mike and Simon Tofield (creator) developed the Simon’s Cat brand over the past six years to a YouTube subscriber base of 3.3 million, selling over 1.6 million books in 27 countries with over 100 licencing and merchandising products.
