Screen Training Ireland support Masterclasses at Audi Dublin Film Festival

Screen Training Ireland are delighted to support two exciting industry focused masterclasses at this year’s Audi Dublin International Film Festival.  Working with Actors: A Masterclass with Kerry Fox and a Directors Masterclass with Ben Wheatley.

Award-winning actor Kerry Fox,  AN ANGEL AT MY TABLE, SHALLOW GRAVE, BRIGHT STAR, THE REHEARSAL; will deliver an intensive half-day workshop aimed at directors, writers, and producers on the subject of working with actors. Using her own experiences working with many different filmmakers, Kerry will demystify the acting process and reduce the anxiety of working with actors, leading to better communication and collaboration in the creative process.

Director Ben Wheatley, HIGH-RISE, A FIELD IN ENGLAND, SIGHTSEERS, DOWN TERRACE, KILL LIST; will deliver a masterclass aimed at directors.  Described as energetic, intelligent, and unpredictable, with a wickedly ghoulish sense of humour, the self-styled Mr. Wheatley has cut a distinctive path through the contemporary British cinematic landscape. This modern auteur known for works of idiosyncratic humour and twisted violence has travelled a compelling career path. Drawing comparisons to the Coen Brothers and Tarantino, Free Fire marks his sixth feature in seven years.

This ADIFF special gala presentation of FREE FIRE will be Wheatley’s third visit to the festival and provides participants with the opportunity to hear first-hand from the director what it’s like working with some of the finest names appearing on screen today.

The Directing masterclass with Ben Wheatley takes place on Friday 24th Feb, 12:00 pm in the Light House Cinema. For further information please click here.

Working with Actors a masterclass with Kerry Fox takes place on Friday 17th Feb, 11:00 am in Brooks Hotel. Further information please click here.
