Screen Training Ireland are excited to support the Fastnet Film Festival 2018. The festival is a valuable opportunity for young emerging talent to mingle with professional filmmakers and access a fantastic range of workshops, masterclasses and events. It takes place in Schull, West Cork from Wednesday 23rd to Sunday 27th of May, 2018.
Masterclasses and workshops include an Actors Masterclass with Robert Pugh, Sion Tudor Owen, and Alister Petrie with Phillippa Kennedy OBE; Making It Happen: the Role of the Producer with Ed Guiney, Lesley McKimm and David Collins; The Actor’s Take: from script to screen with UK actors Alistair Petrie, Sion Tudor Owen and Robert Pugh; Happy Endings: screenwriting masterclass with Donal Beecher, Lecturer in Writing for Film, TV and Digital Storytelling; 10 FFF’n Years by Gerard Stembridge: Short film in two days; A Knack For Talent: Discussion with London Film School students; ‘Battle of the Sexes’ Classic Hollywood to today: discussion forum; The Irish Film Board: the Inside Track: discussion forum; From Stop Sign to Sign Post: film classification discussion; Costume Masterclass with World-renowned Costume Designer Joan Bergin; 2-Day Self Taping Masterclass with Renowned Casting Director Maureen Hughes and visiting Casting Director Ros Hubbard; Creating stories using your Phone: Masterclass with Neil Leyden, Head of RTE.ie; Documentary Filmmaking with Renowned US Director Paul Stekler; Casting Tales from the Deep… giving an insight into the casting process.
Other workshops taking place over the week include stunts with actor Peter Dillon; VFX with Dan Cullen; and a roundtable discussion on screenwriting with UCC and Arts Council film artists in residence, Carmel Winters, Gerry Stembridge, Hugh Travers and Gwenda Young.
