Screen Training Ireland, in association with Audi Ireland and Audi Dublin International Film Festival, announce details of an Immersive Content Creation Conference at the RHA Gallery Dublin on Saturday, 23rd September.
The conference takes place across two days, 23-24 September in Dublin, and will offer keynote speeches, interactive panel discussions, demos using the latest VR/AR technology; and a VR/Immersive Story Hackathon with a prize of up to €30,000 to produce a VR project for screening at Dublin International Film Festival 2018.
The aim of this event is to introduce professionals from a variety of disciplines across live action, animation and games to ideas around content creation for VR/AR and 360 Filmmaking. It will bring together creatives and tech professionals from across all these sectors, and encourage peer-to-peer learning and discovery.
Internationally renowned VR Director Michel Reilhac, Submarine Channel, Netherlands will give a keynote address on film and immersive storytelling. Michel is a pioneer in Virtual Reality film making and interactive storytelling, and co-programmer for Venice VR, the VR Competition section and VR programme for the International Venice Biennale Film Festival. In addition, Stefan Grambart, Emmy® award-winning VR Pioneer (SLEEPY HOLLOW VR experience) and creator and conceptual lead of Halcyon will discuss narrative and storytelling structures in immersive content.
