David King-Taylor is the founder of Production Safety Services - a Company that specialises in providing Health and Safety advice to Film and Television Production Companies. A team of highly experienced Associate Advisors within the Company ensure that other specialist services can be provided. Services available include the provision of detailed Risk Assessments, writing company Health and Safety Policies and preparing documentation for relevant policing Authorities, Broadcasters, Commissioning Editors, and Insurance Brokers etc. Health and Safety telephone advice, annual retainers, location recces, audits and inspections, and studio visits are other areas greatly in demand by clients. Training assignments are regularly undertaken, whether it is guest speaking at seminars, in-house company courses or running external courses for recognised Industry Associations such as PACT, Skillset and Unions such as BECTU. Full H&S provisions through the 'Network' of Contacts include Unit Nurse, SFX, and Stunt Arrangers. David is equally 'at home' in font of camera if required to add a H&S input to the script / story line. David is on the proposed list of NVQ Assessors, is Chairperson of the Safety Advisors Association to the Film and Television and Entertainment (SAAFTE). He also sits on Industry Boards such as The Broadcast Joint Advisory Council (BJAC) and the SFX Grading Committee. Before starting his own company, David was the Safety Development Manager with London Weekend Television.
