TV producer Philip Kampff whose credits include Noel’s House Party (BBC), Get Well Soon a Ray Galton , John Antrobus sitcom (BBC) and Lee Evans Live At Wembley (Open Mike/Warner) established Vision Independent Productions Ltd. (VIP). Philip Kampff is one of the originators of The Lyrics Board, a music game show distributed by Fremantle Media to over 26 territories and has been constantly in production for the last fifteen years. Philip established VIP to create more original shows for Irish television with universal appeal.
In 2003 VIP made it’s first production The Restaurant. A factual entertainment show that gives celebrities with a passion for food the challenge of becoming a head chef in a real restaurant for one night. The show became an instant hit taking an average share of 35% in a prime time slot on RTE, the Irish National Broadcaster. A third series of The Restaurant is in production and RDF International currently has the world distribution rights.
VIP’s latest format is Showhouse an interior design challenge taken on by professionals and judged by the public. On it’s second week it became the fourth most watched show in Ireland. Its web site www.rte.ie/tv/showhouse is now one of RTE’s most visited sites.
VIP’s first venture into Children’s Television starts in September 2005 with the production of a thirty part series for RTE called Ten Things To Do Before You’re Ten For Under A Tenner.
VIP’s focus continues to be about format development working with a select group of creative partners to further enhance it’s existing shows and create new original formats that work across all platforms. VIP is opening a UK production company in September 2005 and it will be based in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
